This multi-sport event is held annually. It showcases a number of action sports in both the winter and the summer. Prize money and bronze, silver and gold medals are up for grabs in the ESPN X Games. Records are often broken and new tricks are unveiled at the X Games.

Sports that have been featured in the ESPN X Games include freestyle BMX, motoX, skateboarding, surfing, wakeboarding, and rally racing. Winter sports have been skiing, snowboarding, and snocross. Upcoming Winter X Games are planned for Colorado. Los Angeles will host the Summer X Games through 2009.

The X Games events also include X Fest—ultimate action sports and music festival complete with live music—athlete autograph sessions, live music, interactive elements, a mini skate park and BMX park, demos, and more.
