Stadiums

Each team in the NHL has their own arena in which they host their home games. The Pittsburgh Penguins have hosted games in Mellon Arena since 1961 for the longest-running tenure in one building of all of the NHL. With all the expansion in the NHL, some of the newer NHL arenas are the Minnesota Wild's Xcel Energy Center and the Columbus Blue Jacket's Nationwide Arena, both built in 2000. From the Vancouver Canucks in the northwest to the Florida Panthers in the southeast, there are 30 NHL stadiums scattered throughout the United States and Canada .
