The New York Islanders began playing in the Eastern Conference Atlantic Division of the National Hockey League in 1972. Their home ice is at Nassau Coliseum in Uniondale, New York and their team colors are dark blue, orange, and white. So far, the New York Islanders have won four Stanley Cups when they won four consecutive times from 1980-83.
