Carolina Hurricanes Info

The Carolina Hurricanes were the New England Whalers from 1972-1979, and then the Hartford Whalers from 1979-1997, when they relocated to become the Carolina Hurricanes. The team plays in the Eastern Conference Southeast Division of the National Hockey League. Their home games are held at RBC Center. Carolina Hurricanes team colors are red, black, sliver, and white, and the team won their first and only Stanley Cup in 2006.

The Carolina Hurricanes, who host visiting teams on their home ice of the RBC Center, are one of five teams in the Southeast Division of the NHL. The Florida Panthers host teams in the BankAtlantic Center, and the Tampa Bay Lightning host teams in the St. Pete Times Forum. To close out the Division, the Atlanta Thrashers host teams in Philips Arena, and the Washington Capitals do in the MCI Center.
