Independent schools had varying levels of success through the 2006-07 season. Teams join the Independents prior to becoming a full member of Division I ranks. Eleven teams make up the Independents in 2005-06: UC Davis, Chicago St., IPFW, Longwood, New Jersey Institute of Technology, North Dakota State, Savannah State, South Dakota State, Texas-Pan American, Utah Valley State, and Winston-Salem. Even though the Independents fall short of Division I ranks, there is no shortage of exciting college basketball action! Get your NCAA Independents college basketball tickets before it's too late!
