After finishing in last in the Big Sky in 2003 and 2004, Portland State found itself the winner of the Big Sky Conference title in 2004-05. Montana won the Big Sky Conference Tournament. According to critics, Montana comes back in 2005-06 as the team to beat in the Big Sky. Portland State looks to be a team that might have some troubles defending their regular-season title. Montana State, Northern Arizona, and Sacramento State, as well as Idaho State hope to mix things up in the Big Sky Conference.
