San Antonio Spurs Info

The San Antonio Spurs were the Dallas Chaparrals from 1967 until 1973 and have been known as the San Antonio Spurs since then. The team joined the National Basketball Association Western Conference Southwest Division in 1976. So far, the San Antonio Spurs have won three NBA championships, three conference titles, and 15 division titles. Notable former players include Moses Malone, Dominique Wilkins, and David Robinson.

 
 

As one of the three teams in the NBA Western Conference Southwest Division, the San Antonio Spurs play in the SBC Center. Other teams from Texas include the Dallas Mavericks who call American Airlines Arena home, and the Houston Rockets, who claime Toyota Center is their home court. The New Orleans Hornets spend the season playing home games at the Ford Center in Oklahoma City and at the Pete Marovich Center in Baton Rouge. The Memphis Grizzlies call FedEx Forum home.
