The Toronto Raptors are the only team currently in the National Basketball Association that is outside the United States. When they joined the NBA in 1995, the Toronto Raptors were placed in the Eastern Conference Atlantic Division. Their home stadium is Air Canada Center in Toronto, and the Toronto Raptors team colors are red, black, silver, and purple. Thus far, the Toronto Raptors have never won a division title, a conference title, or an NBA championship. Notable former players include No. 2 draft pick in 1996 Marcus Camby, who also is the team's all-time blocks leader and Vince Carter, the Toronto Raptor's all-time leading scorer.

While four of the teams in the Eastern Conference Atlantic Division of the NBA are from the United States, there is one team that hails from Canada in the Toronto Raptors. They play their home games at Air Canada Centre. The teams in the United States begin with the New York Knicks, who play in Madison Square Garden and the New Jersey Nets who call Continental Airlines Arena home. Both of those are the two oldest stadiums in the Atlantic Division. Rounding out the division is the Philadelphia 76ers who play at Wachovia Center and the Boston Celtics and their home, TD Banknorth Garden.
