The Utah Jazz joined the National Basketball Association in 1974 when they were known as the New Orleans Jazz; the team has been known as the Utah Jazz since 1979. Currently, the Utah Jazz feature navy blue, ice blue, and silver uniforms and play their home games at Delta Center in Salt Lake City. The Utah Jazz have never won an NBA championship, but they have won two conference titles and seven division titles. Notable former players include Pete Maravich, Karl Malone, and John Stockton.

 
 

The Western Conference Northwest Division of the NBA has five teams. The Utah Jazz play in the Delta Center, and the Denver Nuggets play in the Pepsi Center. Also in the division is the Minnesota Timberwolves who play their home games in the Target Center, the Portland Trail Blazers, who call the Rose Garden their home, the Seattle SuperSonics who call Key Arena their home.
