The permanent grandstand can hold up to 164,861 people, making the Texas Motor Speedway the second-largest sports facility in the United States and the third-largest facility in the world. Over one million people have visited the Texas Motor Speedway. The $30 million, nine-story ?Speedway Club? is located over Turn 1 of the track. Club members enjoy the race from upscale amenities. Various amenities to the Speedway Club include the exclusive Health Club and Spa, Club Concierge Services, and the members-only Starlight Dining Room.

Texas Motor Speedway is known for the three-wide racing at over 200 miles per hour. Many defining moments of IRL history have happened on the track at Texas Motor Speedway, such as Sam Hornish Jr.'s defeat of Helio Castroneves by just over three-tenths of a second, one of the closest finishes in NASCAR history.
