With the schedule change, the Florida Dodge Dealers 250 now becomes the second race during Speedweeks to move to nighttime in the last two years. In 2003, the Budweiser Shootout, the no-holds barred All-Star race featuring the previous year's Bud Pole winners and past Budweiser Shootout champions, made its nighttime debut. The 2003 Florida Dodge Delaers 250 continued to prove its one of the best shows of Speedweeks as Rick Crawford captured the victory in a three-wide photo finish with Travis Kvapil and Robert Pressley.
