Built Ford Tough 225

The Built Ford Tough 225 Nascar truck series race will be held at the Kentucky Speedway. 2003 saw Carl Edwards win his first career NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series race by beating veteran Ted Musgrave in the Built Ford Tough 225 at Kentucky Speedway. Dennis Setzer came in third. The journey has been a tough one for the 23 year old Edwards hailing from Columbia, MO. Edwards' Roush Racing Ford does not have a primary sponsor. Edwards qualified using a backup engine and had to change engines as his original engine broke during a practice session. Since the engine was changed, he was relegated to the back of the field and started 30th in the 36-truck field. Developed on 1,000 acres, the $152 million Kentucky Speedway is a state-of-the-art venue for all stock and open wheel racing series. The Kentucky speedway features a 1.5-mile tri-oval, quarter-mile paved track and parking for more.
