The American Racing Wheels 200 mile Nascar truck series race is slated to be held at the California Speedway. The 2003 American Racing Wheels 200 race saw Ted Musgrave have his truck suspension changed mid-way in the race and go onto beat Pole starter Brendan Gaughan with nine laps remaining to win at the California Speedway. Musgrave had also won the race in 2001 and 2002, and became the third driver in the Nascar Truck series history to win three consecutive times at the same track. The california Speedway is situated approximately 40 miles east of Los Angeles, and a great place to watch a race and experience the thrills of NASCAR. It is one of the premier auto racing venues in the country, hosting six major racing weekends.
