The Pepsi 300 Nascar Busch Series race is conducted at the Nashville Motor Speedway. The 2003 season saw David Green pass Johnny Sauter in the final lap of the race at the Nashville Superspeedway to earn his sixth career NASCAR Busch Series victory in the Pepsi 300 at the Nashville Superspeedway. John Sauter held on for second and Ashton Lewis finished third The win came at the right time for Green and is the first for Green since 1996 in Myrtle Beach. The Nashville Superspeedway was built in 2000 and is relatively much younger to the other Nascar circuits. The Nashville superspeedway is one of only three concrete tracks on the NASCAR circuit. The Nashville superspeedway plays host to other Busch series races including the Federated Auto Parts 300. Nashville is a major city in Tennessee and close to the origins of country music.
