Kroger 200
The Kroger 200 Nascar Busch Series race is conducted at the Indianapolis Motor Raceway park. The 2003 Kroger 200 saw the 19 year old Brian Vickers win a long and hard duel with Shane Hmiel to win the Kroger 200 at the Indianapolis Raceway Park. The Kroger 200 served as the first career Busch Series victory for Vickers, who never looked back ever since and went onto become the youngest Busch Series Cup winner. The Indianapolis Motor Speedway was originally built as a test facility for the burgeoning Indiana car industry. Following a series of races that were conducted, the track was paved with 3.2 million bricks and hence the name Brickyard. Since 1911, the Brickyard has hosted one of the most famous races in the world -- the Indianapolis 500-Mile Race. Indianapolis is also home to one of the most famous musuems devoted to auto history - found within the same campus as the Speedway. The weekend of Kroger 200 also has the Nascar - Nextel cup series Brickyard 400 scheduled.
