The Funai 250 Nascar Busch Series race is conducted at the Richmond International Raceway. The 2003 Funai 250 was a wild race and saw Johnny Sauter bumpMatt Kenseth into the wall and out of the way in the final turn, ending a seven-lap shootout to gain his second career Busch Series victory. Kenseth passed Sauter just over two laps from the end coming out of a restart and seemed close to victory until the beating and banging at the Richmond International Raceway. The Richmond International Raceway, has undergone several makeovers since its original construction in the 1940s and is presently one of the most advanced centers for racing in the US.
