Minnesota Twins Info

The Minnesota Twins began to play Pro Baseball in the American League in 1901 as the Washington Senators. In 1904 their name was changed to the Washington Nationals for two years before going back to the Washington Senators. In 1956, the Washington Senators moved to Minnesota and stayed there. Renamed the Twins, they were added to the West Division in 1969. By 1994, the Minnesota Twins moved to the Central Division, and have been playing there ever since. The Minnesota Twins have won three World Series in their history, with the most recent one coming in 1991. While in Washington, the Minnesota Twins played in American League Park, then Griffith Stadium. When they moved to Minnesota, the Minnesota Twins played in Metropolitan Stadium until 1982; they moved to Hubert H. Humphrey Metrodome in Minneapolis and still play there today.
