The Detroit Tigers became part of Pro Baseball in 1901 when they joined the American League. Sixty-eight years later the Detroit Tigers moved out of the East Division into the Central Division of the American League, where they have played ever since. The Detroit Tigers have won four World Series, with their most recent win in 1984. Bennett Park was the home of the Detroit Tigers from 1901 until 1911; then it was on to Tiger Stadium until 1999; and finally, the recent location of Comerica Park, where they have played since 2000.
