Texas Rangers Info

The Texas Rangers began as the Washington Senators in 1961, replacing the original Washington Senators (they had moved to Minnesota). The Washington Senators were in the East Division of the American League. In 1972, the Washington Senators became the Texas Rangers when the team moved to Arlington, Texas, and joined the American League West Division. The Texas Rangers have never won a World Series. While they were the Washington Senators, the team played in Griffith Stadium and RKF Stadium; when the team moved to Arlington, the Texas Rangers played in Arlington Stadium from 1972 until 1993; finally, the Texas Rangers moved into Ameriquest Field in Arlington in 1994. They still play their home games there today.
