New York Mets
The New York Mets were established as a Pro Baseball team in the National League in 1962. Seven years later, the New York Mets joined the National League East Division. The New York Mets won the World Series in 1969 and 1986. Their most recent trip to the World Series was in 2000, when they played the New York Yankees in the infamous Subway Series. Prior to moving into their current home field of Shea Stadium in 1969, the New York Mets played in Polo Grounds.
