Before becoming the St. Louis Cardinals, they were known as the St. Louis Brown Stockings in 1882, then the St. Louis Browns from 1883 until 1898. Next they were the St. Louis Perfectos for one year before settling on St. Louis Cardinals in 1900. They have belonged to the National League of Pro Baseball since 1892 but have been in the Central Division since 1994. The St. Louis Cardinals have won nine World Series, with their most recent win coming in 1982. Prior to their new home of (New) Busch Stadium, the St. Louis Cardinals played in four different stadiums.
