Keeneland Spring Race Meet
Keeneland Race Course has been home to some of the world's best horse racing competition since 1936. The famous track contains a one-sixteenth mile Polytrack oval and a seven and one-half furlong turf oval. The Poly track surface was added to the fabled track in 2006 and the grass course was added in 1985. Because of its largely unchanged appearance stemming from the 1930's, Keeneland was used for most of the filming of the 2003 film "Seabiscuit". Found in Lexington, Kentucky, Keeneland is not only known for its racing history, but also its history as a world renowned horse sales complex. The track conducts four horse auctions per year that draws horse buyers and enthusiasts from around the world. Steep in tradition, there are few experiences quite like seeing horse racing live at the Keeneland Spring Race Meet.
