Getting their start in 1996, the Trans-Siberian Orchestra was founded in New York City by composers Paul O'Neill and Robert Kinkel and singer, John Oliva. The orchestra is made up of an ensemble of 31 players combining their vocal, guitar, keyboard, bass, strings, drums and narration talents. Their music typically brings traditional Christmas carols to life through a rock opera interpretation. TSO's debut album, Christmas Eve and Other Stories remains their best-selling album since its 1996 release. With the album being so well received, they matched their approach in 1998 with the release of The Christmas Attic. After another two years, they tried their hand at a non-Christmas album entitled Beethoven's Last Night. TSO's twist on holiday classics proves to not only be a spectacle for the ears but is visually pleasing as well. Pyrotechnics and laser light shows accompany every note!
