Stone Temple Pilots
The Stone Temple Pilots are an American Rock group from San Diego, California. Composed of Scott Weiland (vocals), Robert DeLeo (bass guitar, vocals), Dean DeLeo (guitar), and Eric Kretz (drums, percussion), they were formed in 1986 and played through 2003. They went on hiatus for a period of five years before reuniting again in 2008.
During the hiatus, Weiland became the frontman of the band Velvet Revolver, which included a number of former members from Guns N' Roses. The DeLeo brothers formed Army of Anyone which included Richard Patrick from Filter. When the group reunited in 2008, they kicked off a tour at Rock on the Range Festival in Columbus, Ohio.
Hit songs include "Plush," "Sour Girl," "Vaseline" and "Black Hole Sun". The band is set to begin recording their sixth studio album in November.
