Ozzy Osbourne

Before he became a household name, and Father figure to the MTV generation, Ozzy Osbourne was first a musician. Born John Michael Osbourne, Ozzy Osbourne grew to prominence in the world of Heavy Metal during the late 1960s with a band known as Black Sabbath. After two albums, a self titled debut in 1970 and follow-up Never Say Die in 1978, Ozzy was fired from Sabbath, and formed the band the Blizzard of Ozz, before finally becoming a solo artist. Throughout his extensive career, Ozzy wrote and performed music that was dark, focused heavily on the occult, and had heavy guitar riffs. During his reign in music, Ozzy Osbourne has been involved with such Heavy Metal classics as: Iron Man, Crazy Train, Flying High Again, Shot in the Dark, and Mama Im Comin Home. During his career, Ozzy has been accused of animal cruelty for biting the head off a live bat at a concert, encouraging suicide through a song entitled Suicide Solution (which was really a tribute to his late friend and former lead singer of AC/DC, Bonn Scott), and being a loving father on MTVs hit show The Osbournes. His tour, OzzFest, is one of the biggest draws on the summer concert schedule, and has been since 1996. The concert has included such acts as Pantera, Marilyn Manson, Slayer, Judas Priest, Korn, and Ozzy himself, with a reunited Black Sabbath.
