Before Jerry Seinfeld made his way into our homes portraying a semi-fictional version of himself on Seinfeld, he was a regular kid born of Jewish parents out of Brooklyn, New York. Known on the wrestling scene during college as "The Jewish Terror," Seinfeld put his comedic talents to the test immediately after graduation from Queens College. After attending an open-mic night at New York's Catch a Rising Star, Seinfeld soon realized his dream with an appearance in a Rodney Dangerfield HBO special. His passion and persistence in the industry landed him additional appearances on The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson, Late Night with David Letterman and The Merv Griffin Show.

After establishing himself in the realm of stand-up comedy, he went on to create, write and star in a show that is now considered a staple in popular culture. In 1989, Seinfeld teamed up with Larry David and together they created The Seinfeld Chronicles. Later renamed Seinfeld, it was well received on the NBC network by the fourth season being regarded as the most popular and successful sitcom on American Television. When the show left the air in 1998, Jerry made his comeback to stand-up comedy with his special; I'm Telling You for the Last Time. Among many other projects, stand-up remains his main focus.
