Celine Dion is breaking out of Las Vegas to bring her incredible musical abilities to a city near you. She spent over 5 years at ceasars Palace in Las Vegas, and now she is ready to hit the tour scene again to make it easier for fans to enjoy her voice.

Celine Marie Claudette Dion was born in Charlemagne, Quebec in Canada as the youngest of 14 children. The family was the owner of a small piano bar called "Le Vieux Baril" where Celine frequently sang. Her first song was composed at the age of twelve with the help of her mother and brother called "It Was Only a Dream". Another brother sent the recording to Rene Angelil, who was the music manager her brother found on the back of the Ginette Reno album. Rene was moved to tears by Celine's pure voice, and mortgaged his house to help fund her first album La voix du bon Dieu ("The Voice of God/ The Road to God").

Her album was a hit in Quebec, peaking at number one on the charts. Celine performed in many festivals and competitions around the world to help the spread of her name. Many of her songs, however, were in French, and in order to hit a more widespread audience, Celine would have to learn English. She saw Michael Jackson perform when she was 18, and she told Rene that she wanted to perform just like him. He knew at this point that the transformation from French/Canadian princess to American Pop queen was now a necessary move. In an interview with VH1 on "Behind the Music", it was said that she learned English in only three months.

Celine hit the scene again in 1990 with the album Unison featuring the hit song "Where Does My Heart Beat Now" which hit number 4 on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100. This was not the end of her successes, which came again when she performed with Peabo Bryson on the title track of Beauty and the Beast. She took that song and placed it on her second self-titled album, which showed audiences exactly what the Celine Dion sound was meant to be.

By 1992, Celine became a household name, and this was around the same time that she admitted to her feelings for her manager. The couple kept their secret for a few years before coming to the front with their relationship. The worry was that the fans wouldn't be able to accept the fact that their age difference was so huge, but this was not the case. Celine proclaimed her love to Rene with her third album The Colour of My Love and fans embraced their relationship.

Her greatest musical acheievement can be summed up with one word: Titanic. "My Heart Will Go On" peaked at No. 1 in 12 countries including No. 1 on the World Music Chart. Her career has skyrocketed ever since, and she has created over 30 albums during the course of her musical career.
