The Fray Information

Formed in 2002, The Fray began in Denver, Colorado. Issac Slade and Joe King had gone to school together, and were reunited in a local music store. Together the two began jam sessions with a sound similar to that of the Counting Crows or U2. Ben Wysocki and Dave Welsh completed the line up and The Fray began playing shows in Denver.

Their first demo was a hit on local radio stations, and the band was soon voted Denver's Best New Band by Westword magazine. The Fray was quickly signed to Epic Records in 2004. How to Safe a Life was released in 2005. "Over My Head (Cable Car)" hit No. 8 on the Billboard Hot 100; the second single, "How To Save A Life," was featured on the hit show Grey's Anatomy and peaked at No. 73 on the charts.
