The Effigies Information

The Effigies formed in the 1980s and they lasted about 10 years before disbanding. The group considers themselves to be one of the first punk rock bands in Chicago. After reforming in 2004, The Effigies continue to tour. Band members include vocalist John Kezdy, guitarist Robert McNaughton, bassist Paul Zamost, and drummer Steve Economou. The Effigies released a five-song EP in 1981; since then, The Effigies have released two more EPs. The first album from The Effigies, We're Da Machine came in 1983. Their most recent release was the five-track live EP V.M.L. Live Presents the Effigies from 1996.
