Producer, composer, and singer Steve Tyrell was born and raised in Texas. At the age of 18 and landed a job at Scepter Records. Steve Tyrell was responsible for the Burt Bacharach/Hal David-composed Dionne Warwick recordings, and recruited B.J. Thomas to sing a variety of songs including "Hooked on a Feeling" and "Raindrops Keep Falling on My Head."

Steve Tyrell's biggest hit to date was the gold-selling, No. 1 hit "How Do You Talk to an Angel" for The Heights, featuring Jamie Walters; another Jamie Walters hit, "Hold On," was also from Steve Tyrell. In addition, Steve Tyrell worked on the music for Mystic Pizza and Midnight Crossing, among other movies and television shows.

In addition to his work for movies, television, and other people, Steve Tyrell has a number of his own releases. The 1999 release A New Standard was a Top 5 hit on the jazz charts, and stayed on the charts for a full two years after the release. Standard Time was released in 2001, the holiday-themed This Time of Year was released in 2002, followed by This Guy's in Love in 2003. In 2005, Steve Tyrell released Quite Frank: The Songs of Sinatra. Steve Tyrell entertains audiences today.
