Steve Harvey Information

Broderick Steven "Steven" Harvey was born on January 17, 1957. He first started in stand-up in the mid-'80s. Steve Harvey would become the host of It's Showtime at the Apollo before leaving for the WB so he could host his own show, The Steve Harvey Show. The show lasted from 1996 until 2002.

During that time, he toured with the Kings of Comedy, which included Cedric the Entertainer, D.L. Hughley, and Bernie Mac. The act was eventually made into a movie, The Original Kings of Comedy.

Steve Harvey was also in some small movie roles, founded his own record label, and wrote Steve Harvey's Big Time. Since September 2005, Steve Harvey has been in joint syndication with the Premiere Radio Networks and Inner City Broadcasting Corporation for a new version of The Steve Harvey Show.
