If you're squeamish, comedian Ron White may not be for you. But if you enjoy a good storyteller with deadpan style Ron White concert tickets are a must. Texas-born Ron White offers observations from the good ol' boy point of view while he puffs on a cigar and drinks scotch whisky during his act. One of his signature phrases "You can't fix stupid" was an observation he made when he was dating a girl that was really young, very, very good looking and not too bright.
During the mid-'90s, Ron White is said to have released a string of albums on Laughing Hyena, a label that catered to truck stops with "Trucker Humor!" After achieving greater success Ron White made his solo comedy CD debut. Ron White released Drunk in Public in 2003 following a 3-year stint as part of The Blue Collar Comedy Tour, the most successful comedy tour in history. Ron White chose not to star in the Blue Collar TV television show that followed but did make guest appearances.
Some of the highlights of Ron White's career include his appearance and rave reviews at the Just For Laughs Comedy Festival in 2001. In October 2002 Ron White appeared on "The Late Show With David Letterman." Ron White had an hour long comedy special They Call Me Tater Salad, on Comedy Central in 2004. The special helped give the network its highest rated Sunday in their history, attracting over 3.3 million viewers.
In 2005 a pilot for the Ron White Show aired but it did not fare well. Later that year Vietnam Vet Ron White went overseas with the USO to entertain U.S. troops. Ron White released You Can't Fix Stupid in 2006.
Ever the smart alec, Ron White's nickname, Tater Salad, has two stories. In his sketches he says he gave it to the police as an alias when he was drunk. On his website he says he got it in the navy when he called down to a shipmate to relieve him before somebody gets all that Tater salad. He sometimes refers to his son as Tater Tot. Ron White is married to a former Playboy bunny.
