Roger McGruinn was the lead singer of the Byrds. Prior to his experience with the Byrds, Roger McGuinn was a solo artist. Roger McGuinn would return to a career as a solo artist after the Byrds broke up. He was influenced by the likes of Johnny Cash, Carl Perkins, Gene Vincent, and the Everly Brothers.
Roger McGuinn released over a dozen albums as a solo artist, with the most recent, The Folk Den Project, coming in 2005.
