Robert Pollard Information

Until 2004 Robert Pollard was the leader and creative force behind indie rock group Guided by Voices ("GbV"). He began releasing solo records in 1996 while still with GbV. Current or former GbV members worked with Robert Pollard in his solo endeavors and the band would regularly perform selections from the solo releases in concert. When the band dissolve Robert Pollard remained a solo act.

Robert Pollard's most recent album is From A Compound Eye released in 2006.

Among the most prolific songwriters of his time, Robert Pollard has more than 800 songs registered to his name. He has released an array of music both under his own name and a wide array of pseudonyms including Airport 5, Circus Devils, and Go Back Snowball.
