Reverend Horton Heat Information

Reverend Horton Heat comes from Dallas, Texas. The group originated in 1959 with Jim "Reverend" Heath on the guitar and as lead vocalist; bassist "Swingin" Jack Barton and drummer Bobby Baranowski.

Through relentless and extensive touring and their manic stage show, Reverend Horton Heat has made a name for themselves on the underground circuit. The current line up consists of Jim "Reverend" Heath, bassist Jimbo Wallace, and drummer Scott Churilla.

Reverend Horton Heat released their debut Smoke 'em If you Got 'em in 1990 and have released 10 albums since then. Their most recent was 2006's 20th Century Masters -- the Millennium Collection; The Best of The Reverend Horton Heat.

In 2002, their song "Like a Rocket" was slightly lyrically altered but chosen as the official Daytona 500 theme song. In 2005, "Eat Steak" was featured in commercials for Boston Market.
