Nine Inch Nails Information

While many would consider Nine Inch Nails a group, some feel as though that is an incorrect classification. Lead singer Trent Reznor is the one mainstay from the beginning of Nine Inch Nails back in 1987. Trent Reznor is the sole responsibility of Nine Inch Nails' music direction and is supported in concert by a backing band.

Nine Inch Nails has been together for nearly 20 years, but have only released four full-length albums. Pretty Hate Machine was their debut release in 1989; Broken followed three years later; then came The Downward Spiral in 1994; five years later came The Fragile, and finally, With Teeth was released in 2005. In addition to their albums, Nine Inch Nails has appeared on remixes and on soundtracks.

Nine Inch Nails always has a title to their tours; the last two, the Fragility Tours (from 1999 until 2000) and the Live: With Teeth (from 2005 through 2006) are such tours. Reportedly, the 2005 U.S. tour sold out in less than 10 minutes. Nine Inch Nails is seen by many as the most popular industrial music group ever.
