Nick Lachey Information

Nicholas Scott Lachey was born November 9, 1973. It wasn't until he was at Miami University in Ohio that Nick Lachey realized his intentions to become an entertainer. He and his friend Jeff Timmons, Nick's brother Drew, and classmate Justin Jeffre formed the band 98 Degrees in the mid-'90s.

98 Degrees released a total of four albums, and while the group never officially broke up, it is known that they are on hiatus. There is some assumption that they will be reuniting to release new material sometime in the near future. Somewhere during his time with 98 Degrees, Nick Lachey met up-and-coming pop singer Jessica Simpson. Eventually the two would go on to get married and star on their own MTV show Newlyweds. During that time, Jessica Simpson released In This Skin, which quickly reached platinum status. Nick Lachey's SoulO did not see the same success.

Nick Lachey and Jessica Simpson finally confirmed their separation from each other in November 2005, after months of speculation by the press. Jessica Simpson filed for divorce in December 2005, and the divorce was finalized in June 2006. Before that, Nick Lachey went on to release What's Left of Me in May 2006. The single by the same title hit No. 6 in the United States, and the album hit No. 2 on its way to going gold.

Nick Lachey's tour in support of his latest album is his first without 98 Degrees, and his first-ever solo tour.
