Miranda Lambert Information

Miranda Lambert was born November 10, 1983 in Lindale, Texas. When she was 16, she appeared on the Johnny Country Music Review in Arlington, Texas. Even though she landed a recording session in Nashville, Miranda Lambert left the studio in tears of frustration. Her parents would urge her to continue pursuing her singing and acting, so Miranda Lambert made her professional singing debut at the Reo Palm Isle Ballroom in Longview, Texas while she was still in high school.

Rather than going to college, Miranda Lambert spent 2001 and 2002 performing throughout Texas. She would win the Texas auditions of Nashville Star in 2003, and would finish third in the overall Nashville Star competition that same year. Following her win, Miranda Lambert was signed by Sony Records. Her debut, Kerosene, was released in 2005 and would hit No. 1 on the charts.
