Born Marvin Lee Aday in 1947, Meatloaf began his career in theatre and fronted bands that opened for Iggy Pop, The Who and Joe Cocker. Well known for his performance as Eddie in 'The Rocky Horror Picture Show', His performances led to meeting songwriter Jim Steinman. Steinman and Meatloaf collaborated to produce the rock album Bat Out of Hell when his plaintive tenor and soaring melodies were first heard throughout the world in 1977. The duo's 1993 followup, Bat Out of Hell II: Back Into Hell, went multi platinum and netted Meatloaf his first grammy for the single, 'I'd Do Anything For Love (But I Won't Do That)'. Since that time, Meatloaf has produced 8 albums and performed in numerous movies including 'Wayne's World', 'Spice World' and a dying steroid abuser in 'Fight Club'. His ability to perform successfully in both movies and music proves his level of creativity and talent that stands the same today.
