Macy's Cincinnati Jazz Fest takes place during the last weekend in July at Paul Brown Stadium in Cincinnati, Ohio. Two days of food, fun, and music make Macy's Cincinnati Jazz Fest one of THE events of the summer.
Beginning in 1962, the Jazz Fest first took place at Carthage Fairgrounds. Since the beginning, the jazz fest has been the place to people-watch, shop, eat and drink, and enjoy some of the best of the best in music. Even though it is called the Macy's Cincinnati Jazz Fest, the festival can also incorporate musical acts from R&B and Hip-Hop. Previous performers include David Sanbourn, Luther Vandross, Chaka Kahn, and Patti LaBelle.
Eventually it would evolve into one of the largest rhythm and blues festivals in the nation. As of 2000, the jazz fest had an economic impact of $25 million. The Macys Cincinnati Jazz Fest is an outdoor event, so be sure to bring everything you need to keep you comfortable no matter what the weather.
