M. Ward Information

Born as Matt Ward, his stage name is M. Ward. Based out of Portland, Oregon, M. Ward worked with the band Rodriguez before going solo. His solo debut, Duet for Guitars #2, was released on his own Ow Om label in 2000. While his second release, End of Amnesia, was released through Future Farmer Records in 2001, the rest of his albums have been released through Merge Records.

M. Ward's live album, Live Music & The Voice of Strangers, was self-released in 2001 and was sold only at his concerts. His most recent release was Post-War in 2006. M. Ward has also worked on the recordings by Cat Power, Beth Orton, The Court & Spark, Bright Eyes, Jenny Lewis and My Morning Jacket.
