Founded in 1973 by former members of Wicked Lester, Gene Simmons and Paul Stanley, Kiss laid the groundwork for arena rock and pop-metal in the early 80's. Their mixture of anthemic hard rock, loud guitars and flamboyant theatrical performances captured the attention of thousands of teenagers across the nation. Through clever merchandising, Kiss began to show up on lunchboxes, pinball machines, comic books and even produced a live action TV movie. Destroyer became the first of a long line of platinum albums that kept our nation rocking to their wild music and eccentric costumes. Over time, the band has undergone a number of changes including varying drummers and guitarists but their ability to provide a captivating live show has remained the same.
