Kelley Hunt Information

Roots R&B/Americana singer-songwriter Kelley Hunt was born in Kansas City. While she was growing up she spent her time listening to artists like Ray Charles, Billie Holiday, and Aretha Franklin.

In 2001 while in Nashville, Kelly Hunt met with Garth Fundis. She was there to pitch him a few songs for Trisha Yearwood; however, she had to play them live on the piano for him. Fundis eventually decided to take her on as an artist, and called his friend and Grammy Award-winning producer Gary Nicholson. Nicholson and Fundis co-produced Kelley Hunt's first album. While she was coming up with material for the release, Kelly Hunt spent her time touring North America and finding new fans.

New Shade of Blue was released in 2004. It debuted at No. 9 on the Billboard Blues chart and was met with critical acclaim.
