Jurassic 5 Information

Jurassic 5 formed in Los Angeles, California, back in 1993. Chali 2na, Akil, Zaakir (a.k.a. Soup), Mark 7even, DJ Nu-Mark and DJ Cut Chemist formed from two different crews. Cut Chemist would leave the band in 2006 to pursue a solo career. Jurassic 5 saw their debut on TVT Records in 1995 with the single "Unified Rebellion." They would release their self-titled EP in December 1997.

Eventually, that EP would be repackaged and sold as the debut full-length Jurassic 5 LP one year later. Jurassic 5 were signed to Interscope Records in 1999 and would release their first major-label album, Quality Control, in 2000. They would release their third album, Power in Numbers, in 2002. Feedback, Jurassic 5's fourth album, was released in July 2006.
