Joan Sebastian Information

At the age of 17, Joan Sebastian decided to leave the local seminary and began his involvement in popular music. Recognized for his contribution to the Mexican culture, his lyrics have also been used by other prominent Latin artists.

In addition to his music, Joan Sebastian also appeared on the Latin series Tu y Yo and has been rewarded as the King of Jaripeo. Even after he was diagnosed with cancer in 1999, Joan Sebastian never stopped working.

Joan Sebastian won "The Silver Pen Award" in 2000 for his Grammy Award-winning Secreto de Amor. In 2003, Joan Sebastian was the recipient of the Songwriter of the Year Award at the 11th Annual El Premio ASCAP.
