Electric Six Information

Detroit-based rock band Electric Six formed in 1996. Through out the years, members of Electric Six have come and gone but they have always had six members. Their sound is very recognizable in the fact that they manage to combine heavy metal and punk with funky rhythms and falsetto disco vocals, while also injecting a comic touch.

Electric Six released Rock Empire, in 1999 through Ucha Cult Records. When the record company changed to Flying Bomb, Electric Six released a number of singles through them, including 2001's "Danger! High Voltage!" The single "Danger! High Voltage!" quickly became an underground hit. The next year, Electric Six signed with XL and released Fire.

After a few members left and new ones joined, Electric Six signed with Rushmore in 2003. Senor Smoke was released in 2005, and Electric Six released Switzerland in 2006.
