The Partridge Family put David Bruce Cassidy in the spotlight. From 1970 until 1974, The Partridge Family released 10 albums and several solo albums. During that time, David Cassidy was one of the world's highest-paid live entertainers.

When David Cassidy quit The Partridge Family in 1974, he released three well-received albums on RCA from 1975 though 1977. He as also appeared in several Broadway musicals, such as Little Johnny Jones and Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat.

David Cassidy also made an appearance on WJMK-FM in Chicago for a week. He also released Greatest Hits Live in 2004, taken from his sold out tour of the UK. His updated autobiography is set for release March 5, 2007.
