Dark Star Orchestra Information

Grateful Dead tribute band Dark Star Orchestra was formed in Chicago in 1997. A Dark Star Orchestra show is chosen by the band from a selection of over 2,500 concerts that the Grateful Dead put on during their 30 years of shows. Song by song is carefully replayed in order by the Dark Star Orchestra to recreate the experience of a Grateful Dead concert.

Publications such as Rolling Stone and USA Today have had high praise for the Dark Star Orchestra. At times, former Grateful Dead members Bob Weir, Bill Kreutzmann, Donne Jean Godchaux, Vince Welnick, and Tom Constanten have joined Dark Star Orchestra on stage. Dark Star Orchestra members include John Kadlecik, Lisa Mackey, Dino English, Rob Koritz, Rob Eaton, and Kevin Rosen.
