Cristian Castro Information

Mexican pop singer Christian Castro (sometimes spelled Cristian) made his television debut as a baby but he released his first album in 1992 at 18 years old. His deep voice received mixed reviews and he softened it as his career proceeded. A few years later his song, "Nunca Voy A Olvidarte" (I Will Never Forget You), launched his career. He enjoys a strong international fan base and is considered a teen idol and sex symbol, first becoming popular in Puerto Rico. His 1997 album Lo Mejor De Mi was nominated Best Latin Pop Album of the Year. He has had a string of successful duets. His mother is the famous actress Veronica Castro and several family members also have careers in show business, including estranged father comedian Manuel "El Loco" Valdez.
