Cheryl Wheeler Information

Cheryl Wheeler is primarily a folk singer and songwriter but her music and sometimes her concerts take on a humorous tone, although she doesn't shy away from social and political themes either. She often sings about love, relationships, descriptions of places or events, and profiles of people. Some of her more famous songs include "Arrow" and "If It Were Up to Me."

She is a natural storyteller and her concerts are very inclusive. She learned guitar from a neighbor as a child and she has never had a job other than as a musician. Her songs give glimpses into her personality and past. She brings a casual feeling to her music, easily switching from humor to hardship.

After 11 albums many of her songs still aren't recorded but she loves to perform them live. In addition to her own releases, nearly 20 artists have recorded covers of her songs.
